Job Summary:

As the Café Lead, at La Palmeraie Cafe' at Indian Springs Resort you will be responsible for assisting in overseeing the daily operations of our café, ensuring the highest standards of coffee quality, beverage and customer service. You will lead a team of baristas/bartenders, manage inventory, and create an inviting atmosphere that reflects the luxurious nature of our resort. Your expertise in coffee and leadership skills will play a crucial role in enhancing our guests' experience and maintaining the café's reputation in line with the service standards of the Indian Springs Resort.

Must be 21 years old to serve alcohol in this position.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

Lead, train, and mentor baristas/bartenders, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Provide ongoing feedback and support to ensure exceptional performance. •

Customer Service:

Deliver outstanding service to guests by creating a welcoming atmosphere, addressing inquiries, and resolving any issues or complaints promptly. •

Coffee Preparation:

Master a variety of coffee drinks and techniques, ensuring consistency and quality in every beverage served. Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative practices. •

Inventory Management:

Oversee inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies. Place orders as needed and manage stock to prevent shortages or wastage. •

Quality Control & Organization:

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area. Daily checklists need to be fulfilled with attention to cleanliness. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and uphold the highest standards of hygiene. •

Operational Efficiency:

Responsible for daily operations, cash handling, and maintaining equipment. Implement procedures to enhance workflow and efficiency. Ensure all setup checklists have been completed before service, monitor library and La Palmeraie coffee service period, support team members and cover meal breaks. Maintain a clean and organization work space and guest seating area. Track food and beverage waste log and restock/order necessary operational supplies. •

Guest Experience:

Engage with guests to gather feedback, make recommendations, and ensure a memorable experience. Handle special requests and customize orders to meet guest preferences.
