A new independently owned café is opening in Grass Valley, and we are looking for an

EXPERIENCED BARISTA

to join our opening team. We will serve quality espresso drinks, teas, specialty beverages, breakfast items, deli sandwiches, salads, pastries, beer and wine. The ideal candidate has previous barista experience, works well in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in making consistently excellent drinks. We are looking for someone friendly, dependable, efficient and comfortable helping create the welcoming atmosphere of a brand-new neighborhood café. Because this is a new café, we especially value someone who is flexible, takes initiative and is willing to help establish smooth systems and high standards from the beginning. Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality espresso drinks and other beverages accurately and consistently.
• Knowledge of espresso preparation, dialing in espresso and milk steaming is a must.
• Provide friendly, attentive customer service and process orders accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized and well-stocked bar and café area.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation and responsible alcohol-service requirements.
• Work cooperatively with the team and assist with opening, closing and other café duties as needed.

Pay:

$16.90 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 24.0 - 40.0 per week
