Full Job Description Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee beverages and providing excellent customer service. If you have a passion for coffee, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and have exceptional interpersonal skills, we would love to hear from you.Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including operating an espresso machine
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service
- Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth operations
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing
- Familiarity with POS systems, preferably Toast POS
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong multitasking abilities
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including your selection of holidays. Compensation
- Minimum wage to start, credit card and cash tips can be collected daily once fully trained.
