Duties Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Handle cash register operations, including processing cash transactions, giving correct change, and balancing cash drawers at shift end. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and answering questions about menu items. Maintain cleanliness of the café area by regularly cleaning counters, equipment, and food handling surfaces in accordance with food safety standards. Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, ensuring food safety protocols are followed during beverage and light food service. Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers quickly while maintaining high-quality standards. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or café environments is highly preferred; barista experience is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for retail transactions. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers. Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing register operations. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely beverage preparation and customer service.
