Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and customer-oriented Barista to join our team. Once you have a full grasp on cafe responsibility, you will be be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and inviting café environment. Your role will involve utilizing your knowledge of coffee and food preparation to enhance the customer experience while ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and food items with precision and care. Operate the toast POS systems for efficient order processing and cash handling. Engage with customers to provide excellent service, taking their orders accurately and answering any questions about menu items. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including workstations, dining areas, and equipment. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee supplies and food items. Perform basic math calculations for cash handling, including processing payments and providing change. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and communication. We believe everyone is responsible for every task, we are a team. Experience Previous barista experience or background in the coffee industry is preferred but not required. Familiarity with food service operations, including food preparation and safety standards. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating positive customer interactions. Basic math skills for cashiering duties and retail math applications. Experience with POS systems is a plus; knowledge of Toast POS is highly desirable.
