Barista Join the Twisted Team as a Barista and help us serve up great coffee, great energy, and an unforgettable guest experience! The Twisted Diner is a modern take on the classic American diner, bringing together nostalgic vibes, creative food and drinks, and genuine hospitality. We're looking for an energetic, dependable, and adaptable Barista who enjoys working with people and isn't afraid to jump in wherever the team needs support. At The Twisted Diner, no two shifts are exactly the same. While your primary focus will be our coffee and espresso program, every team member plays a role in keeping the diner running smoothly. What You'll Do Prepare hot and iced espresso beverages, lattes, specialty coffees, teas, and other non-alcoholic drinks according to Twisted Diner recipes and presentation standards. Properly operate, clean, and maintain espresso machines, grinders, brewing equipment, and the beverage station. Provide upbeat, welcoming service and help create the fun, energetic atmosphere we want every guest to experience. Take guest orders and accurately process cash and card transactions using our POS system. Learn our menu and confidently answer questions about drinks, food, ingredients, and available options. Keep the coffee and beverage station stocked, organized, clean, and ready for service. Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and food safety procedures. Work efficiently during high-volume breakfast, lunch, and event periods. Communicate with workmates to keep service moving. Assist with light food preparation, running orders, stocking, cleaning, or other front-of-house responsibilities when needed. Be willing to cross-train and adapt to different responsibilities based on the needs of the diner. What We're Looking For Previous barista, café, restaurant, or customer-service experience is preferred, but we're willing to train the right person. Espresso and specialty beverage experience is a strong plus. BASSET certification is preferred, particularly for team members interested in cross-training in additional beverage-service responsibilities. Friendly, energetic personality with strong guest-service skills. Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced restaurant environment. Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Basic math and cash-handling skills. Willingness to learn, take direction, and work as part of a team.
