School Café Barista/ Café Lead • Full-time, school year (10-Mo) Purpose The School Café Barista / Café Lead is responsible for providing excellent customer service while ensuring the café operates efficiently and maintains a clean, welcoming environment. This role includes preparing food and beverages, operating the point-of-sale system, managing inventory, supervising student workers, and maintaining café cleanliness and organization. This is an hourly , 10-month position and reports to the Food Service Director. Key Duties and Responsibilities Prepare and serve hot and cold coffee beverages Prepare smoothies and operate the smoothie station Stock and organize the café, including coolers and supplies Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and accurately process customer transactions Deliver friendly, professional customer service to students, staff, and visitors Supervise, train, and support student workers during shifts Perform daily inventory counts and restock products as needed Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, and food preparation areas Maintain food safety and sanitation standards throughout the shift Assist with opening, closing, and general café operations as needed Qualifying Skills, Education and Experience Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Experience operating a point-of-sale system is preferred Coffee barista or food service experience is a plus Ability to lift, carry, and stock supplies as needed Dependable, organized, and able to work independently while leading student employees Additional Employment Requirements All offers of employment are contingent on a cleared background check from the company of our choosing.
