Duties Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee, tea, and other beverages with precision and care, ensuring consistency and quality. Operate POS systems to process retail sales transactions efficiently and accurately. Manage cash handling duties, including processing cash transactions and giving accurate change using basic math skills. Engage with customers in a friendly, professional manner, providing excellent customer service and answering inquiries about menu items. Maintain cleanliness of the area, including food handling, beverage stations, and equipment, while adhering to food safety standards. Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling baked goods or light snacks when needed. Support team members during busy periods by managing time effectively and multitasking across various responsibilities. Experience Previous barista experience or food service experience is preferred. Demonstrated ability to handle retail sales transactions accurately using POS systems. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with diverse guests. Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling procedures, and basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations. Experience in beverage service or drink preparation, especially in coffee environments, is desirable. Ability to manage time efficiently during peak hours while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and product quality. Basic understanding of food industry standards related to food safety, food preparation, and hygiene practices.
