• Job Overview:

• We are seeking a skilled Barista to join our team. Pay depends on experience and tips are included. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. A friendly face to nurture connections with customers & help build an amazing community.

• Responsibilities:

• Be a "people person" and greet customers
• enjoy working as a team
• answer questions about the beverage menu
• no barista experience needed, just a willingness to learn and pivot
• familiarity with or willingness to learn about hot-brewing equipment used to make coffee, tea and other drinks
• take orders accurately
• prepare beverages according to instructions and receipes
• serve customers food, like paninis, pasteries, bagels, and "muffin" loafs
• Clean and maintain brewing equipment and report any malfunctions
• comply with safe food practices.
• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages such as coffee & tea
• Operate POS systems and handle transactions accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area
• Follow recipes and adhere to food safety standards
• Provide excellent customer service by taking orders and addressing customer inquiries
• Upsell products and promote specials to customers
• Assist in food preparation as needed

• Requirements:

• Previous experience in the food industry or as a Barista is preferred, but not required just a willingness to learn new things
• Knowledge of SpotOn POS or similar systems is a plus
• Familiarity with retail math and cash register operations
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
• Understanding of basic math for measurements and calculations
• Ability to multitask in a busy environment
