Responsibilities Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. Operate POS systems such as Square POS and Micros POS to process sales efficiently and accurately. Handle retail sales transactions with cash handling expertise, including processing cash payments and giving correct change. Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing inquiries professionally. Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling stations, beverage prep zones, and seating areas, adhering to food safety standards. Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers quickly while maintaining accuracy in food preparation and cashiering duties. Support food safety protocols by following proper food handling procedures and ensuring compliance with health regulations. Requirements Previous experience as a barista or in food service is highly preferred; familiarity with café operations is a plus. Proficiency with POS systems such as Square POS or Micros POS; strong cash handling skills are essential. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with diverse guests. Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash register operations. Ability to stand for extended periods while maintaining energy and focus throughout shifts. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures. Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours. Previous barista experience or beverage service knowledge is desirable but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
