Duties Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, smoothies, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. Operate POS systems such as Square POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Handle cash register operations, including processing cash transactions, giving change, and balancing cash drawers at shift end. Maintain cleanliness of the café area by regularly cleaning equipment, counters, tables, and food handling stations to uphold food safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing any questions or special requests with enthusiasm. Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve multiple customers quickly while maintaining high-quality beverage preparation. Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers. Experience Previous experience in food service or café environments is preferred; barista experience is highly valued. Familiarity with beverage service techniques and non-alcoholic drink preparation is essential. Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Square POS enhances efficiency in processing transactions. Proven ability to handle retail sales transactions accurately with basic math skills for cash handling and change calculation. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with diverse guests. Experience in food handling, cleaning routines, and maintaining a safe environment aligned with food safety standards. Time management skills that enable you to multitask effectively during high-volume periods while delivering consistent quality.
