Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and friendly Front Staff/Barista to join our vibrant team! In this role, you will be the welcoming face of Michael's Bakery, providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving a variety of beverages and light food items. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will ensure every guest has a memorable experience. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food and beverage service, retail transactions, and customer engagement within a lively, fast-paced environment. Duties Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately, and process sales efficiently using POS system. Prepare a variety of beverages including coffee, tea, energy based drinks, and specialty drinks with precision and care. Serve donuts, pastries, and other baked goods to customers with attention to detail and presentation. Finish and help restock products for sale throughout the day, including icing and filling donuts. Support daily store operations, including cleaning, washing dishes, restocking supplies, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the café. Assist with opening and closing duties to ensure the store runs smoothly. Work as part of a team, supporting fellow baristas and kitchen staff to create a positive and productive environment. Demonstrate excellent time management by balancing multiple orders during busy periods while delivering friendly customer service at all times. Qualifications Prior barista, coffee shop, or customer service experience is a plus (but not required—training provided!). Friendly, outgoing personality with strong communication skills. Reliability and a team-first attitude are essential. Basic math and cash-handling skills. Willingness to learn and take direction from the management team. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively throughout shifts. Must be available to work mornings and/or weekends as needed.
