Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced café environment. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences. Operate the Square POS system for order processing and cash handling. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, counters, and seating areas. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Assist with food preparation as needed, including pastries and light snacks. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service. Handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations for sales. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment. Requirements Previous barista experience or experience in the food service industry is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with customers positively. Familiarity with Square POS system is a plus. Basic math skills for cash handling, accurately and confidently counting change back to customers, and retail math calculations. Time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy setting. Knowledge of food safety practices and food preparation techniques is essential. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed. A passion for coffee and an eagerness to learn about different brewing methods and beverage preparation techniques.
