We are looking for friendly, motivated, and detail-oriented Baristas who enjoy creating quality beverages and making every guest feel welcome. As a Barista, you will prepare specialty coffee, espresso drinks, signature lattes, matcha, teas, traditional Arabic beverages, and seasonal refreshers while delivering attentive and efficient service. You will also help maintain a clean, organized, and inviting café environment. Responsibilities Prepare and serve espresso beverages, specialty coffee, signature lattes, matcha, teas, traditional Arabic drinks, and seasonal refreshers according to JODA Coffee recipes and presentation standards. Learn the ingredients, preparation methods, and flavor profiles of our menu to confidently answer guest questions and make recommendations. Provide warm, professional, and attentive customer service, creating a welcoming experience for every guest. Take orders accurately and operate the café's POS system to process cash, credit card, and other payment transactions. Maintain consistency in beverage quality, portioning, presentation, and preparation times. Assist with preparing and serving pastries, desserts, and savory food items as needed. Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and food safety procedures at all times. Keep beverage stations, equipment, counters, and guest areas clean, stocked, and organized. Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to management. Work closely with team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods. Assist with opening, closing, and other daily café operations as assigned. Represent JODA Coffee's commitment to quality, hospitality, and an exceptional guest experience. Qualifications & Experience Previous barista, café, or food service experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Experience preparing espresso-based beverages and working with commercial coffee equipment is a plus. Interest in specialty coffee, matcha, and traditional Arabic or Yemeni beverages is highly valued. Strong customer service and communication skills with a friendly, positive attitude. Ability to learn recipes, follow preparation standards, and maintain attention to detail. Comfortable using POS systems and handling cash transactions accurately. Basic knowledge of food safety and proper food handling practices. Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment. Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
