Experienced Barista Rusty Kettle Coffee Stand | Yelm, WA We're Looking for Experience—Not Your First Coffee Job Rusty Kettle is a fast-paced, double-sided drive-thru coffee stand that takes pride in serving quality drinks with exceptional customer service. We are looking for an experienced barista who can confidently step into a busy environment, work independently, and help maintain the standards our customers have come to expect. This is not an entry-level position. We're looking for someone who already knows coffee, understands the demands of a drive-thru environment, and enjoys staying busy throughout the entire shift. Before You Apply Please only apply if you meet both of these requirements: ☕ You have at least one (1) year of professional barista experience making espresso-based beverages in a coffee shop or drive-thru coffee stand. Food service or cashier experience alone does not meet this requirement. ☕ You have experience completely disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling a commercial espresso machine. Proper machine maintenance is a required part of this position, not something we will teach from the beginning. What You'll Be Doing Our baristas wear a lot of hats throughout the day. Every shift includes much more than making coffee.

Responsibilities include:

Preparing espresso beverages, Lotus energy drinks, teas, smoothies, and other menu items while maintaining consistency and quality. Delivering friendly, efficient customer service at both drive-thru windows. Taking customer orders and accurately processing payments through our POS system. Managing multiple responsibilities during busy rushes while remaining calm and organized. Restocking cups, syrups, milks, and other supplies before they run low. Completing daily, weekly, and deep-cleaning tasks. Cleaning and maintaining espresso equipment according to company standards. Monitoring product quality and reporting maintenance concerns promptly. Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional workspace throughout every shift. Working independently when scheduled alone. Supporting coworkers and helping create a positive team environment. Required Qualifications Applicants must have:

Minimum of one (1) year of recent professional barista experience preparing espresso beverages in a coffee shop or drive-thru coffee stand. Experience operating commercial espresso equipment. Experience fully disassembling, cleaning, sanitizing, and reassembling a commercial espresso machine. Knowledge of proper espresso extraction, milk steaming, and beverage preparation. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong multitasking and time-management skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Ability to follow recipes, procedures, and company standards consistently. Preferred Experience While not required, we'd love to see experience with: High-volume drive-thru coffee stands. Opening or closing a coffee stand independently. Grinder calibration and espresso shot adjustments. Inventory management and restocking. Health department sanitation standards. Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to: Stand for long periods. Lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Bend, reach, and move quickly throughout the shift.
