Duties Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and consistency. Take customer orders accurately using a point of sale system, utilize a handheld ordering device, and perform retail sales transactions with precision. Provide friendly and attentive customer service by greeting guests, answering questions about menu items, and making personalized recommendations. Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling stations, beverage prep zones, tables, and seating areas, following food safety standards. Assist in food preparation tasks when needed, ensuring all food safety guidelines are followed. Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high service standards. Support the team with beverage service, drink presentation, and ensuring all orders are accurate before delivery to customers. Qualifications Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities. Previous experience in food service or café environments is preferred; barista experience is highly valued. The best candidate has a willingness to learn and develop. A welcoming attitude with a heart for serving others with intentional kindness. Familiarity with POS systems such as Square POS or GoTab POS for processing transactions efficiently. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for all guests. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Experience in beverage preparation, especially coffee-making or drink service, is a plus.
