Lead Bartender

Job Description

We're looking for an energetic, service-oriented Seasonal Lead Bartender to bring top-tier hospitality to our vibrant RV resort and country club. In this role, you'll mix signature cocktails, oversee bar operations, and lead a small team to deliver an unforgettable experience for our guests. From welcoming members after a round of golf to crafting the perfect drink for a sunset by the pool, you'll set the tone for quality, efficiency, and fun. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages using standard pour amounts.
  • Ensure quality control of products and service standards.
  • Process orders through the register for each transaction, provide a receipt, and obtain the member's signature for all transactions.
  • Follow the proper procedures for the end-of-shift cash drop.
  • Adhere to the opening and closing procedures of the bar, including side work.
  • Receive deliveries of beer, liquor, and food according to proper procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness in guest areas, the bar, and the beverage wall while providing friendly and attentive service.
  • Wash and sterilize glassware.
  • Inspect the cleanliness of the bar area, beverage wall, walk-in cooler, and storage room; keep the cooler clean and organized. Assign side work tasks to fellow bartenders.
  • Rotate products using the first-in, first-out rule.
  • Ensure that all open products are covered and labeled with the date at the end of each shift.
  • Maintain inventory for the bar and beverage wall.
  • Provide a weekly inventory order to lifestyle management to maintain correct par levels.
  • Conduct a monthly bar inventory with the lifestyle assistant or director.
  • Report any issues to lifestyle management.
  • Meet the local minimum age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages.
  • Comply with all state, federal, and company regulations regarding the service of alcoholic beverages.
  • Perform any other assigned duties.

  • High school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Basic wine and spirits knowledge required
  • Demonstrate skills and knowledge of resort operations including activities, social entertainment, and recreation programs.
  • Be familiar with computers, common office machines, and basic business software application programs, including Point of Sale System. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Must be able to stand move and work for prolonged periods of time
  • Continuous bending and reaching
  • Basic math skills and cash handling
  • Has strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate team behavior and be willing to promote a team-oriented environment
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize job tasks, and work efficiently
  • Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from co-workers, members, and guests

  • Must have or obtain Responsible Beverage Service Training (RBS)
