• $18.42 per hour + tips Jeeves is assembling a team. Ask Jeeves opens mid-November 2026, and we're hiring bartenders to help make a new neighborhood bar feel like it's been there all along. The drinks are proper, the art deserves a second look, and the hours are generous. We're looking for friendly, dependable people who make guests feel welcome, take initiative, and can take ownership of a shift. Experience is welcome, but personality, good judgment, and follow-through matter more. We'll train you on our drinks and systems. You'll need to be comfortable keeping things running with confidence and good judgment. THE JOB Prepare classic and house cocktails and serve beer, wine, and nonalcoholic drinks. Welcome guests and help turn first visits into regular visits. Keep the bar clean, stocked and organized, including prep, glassware and restocking. Handle tabs, payments, and cash accurately using our POS system. Complete opening, closing, and shift handoffs. Check IDs and practice responsible alcohol service. Run a shift independently once trained, with additional bartender coverage when business warrants it.
YOU'LL FIT IN IF
You enjoy talking to people and making them feel welcome. You're reliable and observant. You notice what needs doing and do it. You stay organized and use good judgment when it gets busy. You're comfortable taking responsibility for the bar during your shift and know when to ask for help. You take the work seriously without taking yourself too seriously. Previous bartending experience is helpful, but not required. California RBS certification or willingness to obtain it is required.
SCHEDULE & START DATE
Part-time morning, afternoon, and closing shifts available. We'll be open 6 AM-2 AM daily. Let us know which shifts and days work for you—you don't need to be available for all three. Training is planned for early November, ahead of our mid-November opening. All training and time worked are paid.
