About Mode MODE is a craft cocktail bar taking shape inside the 4th Street Market in Downtown Santa Ana. Our beverage program combines thoughtful ingredients, modern technique, approachable flavors, and strong hospitality. The goal is to create a bar that feels creative and elevated without becoming overly formal or inaccessible. As part of 4th Street Market, MODE sits within a larger community of independent food concepts, events, and emerging hospitality businesses. We're continuing to develop the identity of the bar and are looking for people who want to contribute to that growth. The Role This is a hands-on service role in a compact bar that serves both its own guests and the broader market. Service can shift quickly between one-on-one cocktail hospitality and higher-volume periods driven by market traffic, events, and entertainment. You'll work directly with the Beverage Director and leadership team to execute the beverage program while helping maintain and develop the standards, culture, and guest experience MODE is building.

Key Responsibilities Prepare and execute cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages according to MODE recipes and specifications Maintain speed, accuracy, and organization during service Deliver warm, confident, and attentive hospitality Serve both MODE's seated guests and guests throughout 4th Street Market efficiently Read the room and adapt service to different levels of volume and guest interaction Keep the bar clean, stocked, organized, and guest-ready throughout the shift Craft & Product Knowledge Maintain a working knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, beer, wine, and MODE's beverage program Follow prep, recipe, and mise en place systems consistently Demonstrate proper cocktail technique and responsible alcohol service Participate in tastings and ongoing beverage education Execute recipes consistently and respect established specifications Team & Operations Follow inventory, opening, closing, and compliance procedures Maintain cleanliness and operational standards throughout the shift Communicate proactively with leadership and teammates Take ownership of your station/shift and contribute to the overall success of the bar Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, including cases and kegs Ability to work comfortably in a compact, fast-paced environment You Might Be a Fit If You… Have bartending experience in a restaurant, bar, or cocktail-focused environment Have an interest in craft cocktails and beverage development Can balance detailed cocktail execution with efficient high-volume service Stay calm and organized under pressure Are confident and personable with guests Care about hospitality just as much as cocktail technique Take feedback well and want to continue improving Want to contribute to a concept that is still growing and finding its identity Compensation

• $16.90 per hour plus tips
• Part-time positions available with potential for full-time
