Job Summary:
As a Bartender / Server, you are at the heart of the guest experience at Bondi, creating a warm, seamless, and memorable visit whether behind the bar or on the dining room floor. You will be responsible for preparing and serving handcrafted beverages, guiding guests through food options, and delivering attentive, end-to-end dining service. We expect our team members to possess deep knowledge of our menu, spirits, wine, sake, and sushi, always leading with "Omotenashi."
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintain high energy, a positive attitude, and a guest-first mindset at all times. Greet all guests warmly ("Welcome to Bondi") and act as a knowledgeable menu guide for both dining room and bar guests. Prepare handcrafted beverages for bar guests and execute service bar orders for the dining room. Direct guests to seating, present food and beverage menus, and attentively take orders. Possess comprehensive knowledge of food menus, specials, and 86'd items, as well as beer, spirits, wine, and sake pairings. Assist with beverage program execution, cocktail curation, and prep work, including garnishes and mixers. Communicate effectively with Sushi and Hot Line Chefs regarding food quality, timing, and item availability. Inquire about guest dietary restrictions or allergies and update the POS system accurately. Check IDs for all alcoholic beverage purchases in accordance with state regulations. Maintain table maintenance throughout the meal by clearing dishes, refilling beverages, and suggesting dessert or digestifs. Process guest payments, credit cards, and mobile payments accurately via the POS system. Clean, sanitize, and prepare tables, seats, and the bar area to ensure clean surroundings and proper ambiance. Monitor and maintain inventory levels for bar spirits, garnishes, side stations, and service supplies. Perform opening, closing, and restocking duties for both the dining room and bar areas. Adhere to all health, food safety, and sanitation guidelines across service and bar areas. Collaborate with teammates and support front-of-house operations as needed.
Qualifications :
Ability to maintain a productive and welcoming work environment. Strong communication skills to assist guests with inquiries. Understanding of all common food allergies. Service experience (Sushi preferred) Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Knowledge of POS systems. Proven experience in both bartending and dining room serving (sushi restaurant experience preferred). Strong interpersonal, customer service, and guest engagement skills on the floor and behind the bar.

Compensation:
$25.00-$30.00 per hour (inclusive of base hourly rate and tips).
