Dining About the Position Piper's Landing Yacht & Country Club is seeking a personable, professional, and service-oriented Server/Bartender to join our Dining team. This position provides prompt, attentive food and beverage service to Club members and guests while helping create the warm, polished, and personalized experience expected in a private club environment. The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships with members, takes pride in exceptional service, and is comfortable working in both dining and bar settings. Key Responsibilities Provide courteous, attentive, and professional service to members and guests. Set up dining areas, side stations, and bar work areas before service. Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter orders into the POS system. Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages using consistent recipes and accurate pours. Serve meals by course and assist with food delivery as needed. Answer questions about menu items and provide food, wine, and beverage recommendations when appropriate. Maintain high presentation standards for beverages, glassware, garnishes, and service areas. Monitor member and guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience and respond promptly to service needs. Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked dining, bar, and service areas. Verify member account information and process checks according to Club procedures. Learn members' names and preferences to provide personalized service. Assist with setup and breakdown for Club events. Complete opening, closing, restocking, and assigned cleaning responsibilities. Communicate member feedback, inventory needs, and service concerns to management. Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in a restaurant, private club, bar, banquet, or similar food and beverage environment is desired. Bartending and table-service experience preferred. Strong hospitality and customer-service skills. Knowledge of food, wine, cocktails, and beverage service is beneficial. Ability to accurately use or quickly learn a POS system. Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to communicate effectively in English for member and team interactions. Willingness to learn Club service standards, members' names, and individual preferences. Physical Requirements Candidates must be able to stand for extended periods of time, frequently bend, squat, kneel, reach, and move throughout dining, bar, banquet, and event areas. The position requires the ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and safely handle trays, glassware, beverage stock, and other food and beverage service items. Why Join Piper's Landing?
