Job Description
The Better Half in Lakeville is hiring a bartender. It's not enough to just pour drinks. The best bartenders lend themselves to the experience and atmosphere of the bar. We're looking for personalities who also have a place to store tremendous stacks of money. We have a rare opening in lucrative shifts for someone able to demonstrate rockstar bartending skills.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests
- Take guest orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Check identification to ensure guests are of legal drinking age
- Handle cash and process payments accurately
- Monitor guest behavior and intervene as needed to maintain a safe and enjoyable atmosphere
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure excellent guest service
- Restock bar supplies and inventory as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience working as a bartender is required
- Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations
- Familiarity with hospitality, restaurant, or food service industry standards
- Proficiency in using POS (Point of Sale) systems for order processing and payment handling
- Strong sales skills and ability to upsell menu items
- Basic understanding of retail math for calculating bills, tips, and discounts

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong guest service skills with a friendly and outgoing personality
- Attention to detail for accurately preparing drinks according to recipes and customer preferences
