Our busy restaurant is looking for a bartender with a positive attitude who can provide excellent customer service so our patrons can have a great time at our bar. You will be in charge of taking customer orders, mixing a variety of traditional and creative cocktails, making beer and wine recommendations, and keeping the bar area clean and sanitary at all times. This position requires an energetic person with excellent organizational skills and a customer-first attitude. if you enjoy mixing and serving drinks, meeting new people, and working in a fast-paced environment!

Responsibilities:

Perform all restocking and cleaning activities as directed, including opening and closing duties Responsible for inventory, ordering and stocking of all wine, liquor, and beer. Maintains an inventory of glassware and promptly communicates any shortages to management. Receive payments and settle patron checks and tabs, as well as correctly record daily sales totals in point of sale system Check customers age by verifying identification cards and serve alcoholic beverages to patrons per federal, state, local, and company laws and regulations Take patron orders and deliver a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages including wine, beer, liquor, and mixed drinks

Qualifications:

Prior food service industry experience is highly desired Candidates must have completed high school or received similar certification (GED) Must have a strong focus on putting the patron first with exceptional customer service experience Displays impeccable time management and organizational skills Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers About Company Our hotel is off I-55 and Highway 51, in Jackson's business district. A variety of shops and restaurants are within a half-mile, and we're nine miles from downtown Jackson. The Mississippi Museum of Natural Science and the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum are less than 15 minutes away.
