Server Position Summary Servers are the face of Piazza — greeting guests, guiding them through our food, cocktail, and coffee menus, and making sure every table has an outstanding experience from the moment they sit down to the moment they leave. Responsibilities Greet and seat guests warmly; build genuine rapport with regulars and first-timers alike Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them correctly into the POS Know the menu, including daily specials, ingredients, and common allergens, well enough to answer guest questions confidently Deliver food and drinks promptly, check back regularly, and anticipate guest needs Process payments accurately and handle cash and cards responsibly Bus, reset, and maintain clean, organized tables and dining areas Communicate clearly with the kitchen and bar to keep orders moving smoothly Follow all food safety and responsible alcohol service guidelines Qualifications Previous serving experience preferred but not required — we're willing to train the right person Friendly, upbeat attitude and strong communication skills Ability to work evenings and weekends Must be able to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods Must meet Virginia's minimum age requirement for serving alcohol Bartender Position Summary Bartenders craft Piazza's cocktails, pour our beer and wine list, and run our espresso and coffee bar, all while keeping the bar a warm, lively spot guests want to linger at. Responsibilities Prepare cocktails, beer, wine, and coffee/espresso drinks accurately and consistently to Piazza's recipes and standards Greet and engage guests at the bar; recommend drinks and answer questions about our menu Check IDs and serve alcohol responsibly, cutting off service when appropriate Keep the bar stocked, clean, and organized throughout the shift Manage bar tabs and payments accurately Coordinate with servers and kitchen to keep drink and food orders in sync Restock, rotate, and monitor inventory; report low stock to management Follow all health, safety, and responsible alcohol service regulations Qualifications Previous bartending experience required; espresso/coffee bar experience a plus Solid working knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, and wine Friendly, personable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment Ability to work evenings and weekends Must meet Virginia's minimum age requirement to serve alcohol; ABC certification a plus (or willingness to obtain) Kitchen Help — Line Cooks, Prep Cooks & Dishwashing Piazza's kitchen team keeps the whole operation running behind the scenes. We're hiring across all kitchen roles: line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashing. Experience levels and duties vary by role, but every position is essential to getting great food out fast, safe, and consistent. Line Cooks Cook and plate menu items to Piazza's recipes and standards during service Work efficiently on an assigned station (sauté, grill, pizza, etc.) while keeping pace with ticket times Communicate with other cooks to keep orders accurate and on time Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked station throughout the shift Follow food safety, portioning, and quality standards on every plate Prep Cooks Prepare ingredients, sauces, and components ahead of service according to Piazza's recipes Properly measure, portion, label, and store prepped items Keep prep areas, walk-ins, and storage clean and organized Rotate stock and flag low or expiring ingredients Support line cooks during busy service as needed Dishwashing Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, and cookware quickly and thoroughly throughout service Keep the dish pit organized and running smoothly so the kitchen never falls behind Take out trash and keep the back of house clean Assist with basic food prep, stocking, or cleaning as needed Follow all sanitation and food safety standards Qualifications (All Kitchen Roles) Kitchen or dish experience preferred; we're willing to train motivated candidates for line cook and dish roles Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service Team player with a strong work ethic and reliable attendance Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs Ability to work evenings and weekends No drugs!
