RESERVATIONIST

This is a great and exciting opportunity to be part of a successful fast-paced restaurant located in Hoboken NJ . Ainsworth Hoboken is looking for motivated, career orientated and hard-working head Maitre'd / head reservationist. As a Reservationist, you help set the standards by which our restaurant is judged, in your personal appearance, your disposition, and your attitude towards the guest. In other words, you are the first person our guests come in contact with as they call our restaurant, so it is important that their first impression is a positive one. Good communication skills are a must. Your working relationship is with the management and the service staff, as well as the guests. You must be able to communicate the wishes of both management and guests to the service staff. The skill with which you handle this go-between position can contribute greatly to more efficient service and greater guest satisfaction. Booking large party reservations for guests over the phone and via email. Showing the restaurant spaces to clients and guests for future parties and events A good reservationist needs to have a positive attitude at all times and be able to maintain that attitude in any situation. Remember that our goal is to be busy. When our restaurant is busy, we all make money.

Requirements:

Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in the similar position. Flexible schedule is required, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Able to handle multiple tasks at one time. Must be able to work in a high-pace and dynamic operation. Excellent organizational skills and communication skills are necessary. Must be detailed oriented, excellent computer skills necessary. Have a pleasant, friendly and helpful manner. Work in a safe, prudent and organized manner. able to use excel and email Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills Reliability, consistency, and positive attitude. High energy showing excitement and enthusiasm. Ability to stand/walk for extended period. Ability to work well under pressure and have excellent communication skills. Compensation is competitive and it is based on experience.
