Senior Living Dining Company:
Sunflower Communities Location:
Nagel Assisted Living |
Waconia, Minnesota Schedule:
Part-Time Monday - Friday + Every Other Weekend +
Rotating Holidays Compensation:
$13.50 - $16/hour + $1.00/hour Weekend Shift Differential To Stand Out After applying, email Nikky Vogelgesang at nikky.vogelgesang@hhcare.net with a brief introduction. Tell us what you're doing now, any food service or customer service experience you have, and what you're looking for in a part-time position. What If the People You Served Actually Knew Your Name? In most food service jobs, you serve someone once and may never see them again. Senior living is different. You'll see many of the same residents every day. You'll start learning who wants coffee with their meal, who always asks what's for dessert, who likes sitting in the same spot, and who appreciates having someone stop for a quick conversation. Before long, you're not just the person serving their meal. You're part of their day. At Nagel Assisted Living in Waconia, we're looking for a Part-Time Dietary Aide who can help us create a dining experience residents genuinely enjoy. More Than Putting Food on a Plate For many of our residents, meals are an important part of their daily routine. It's a chance to leave their apartment, spend time with other people, enjoy a familiar meal, and interact with staff they've gotten to know. That's where you come in. You don't need years of culinary experience to make a difference. Being friendly, attentive, dependable, and willing to learn can matter just as much. What We Offer $13.50-$16/hour based on experience Additional $1.00/hour Weekend Shift Differential Part-Time opportunity Monday-Friday scheduling Every-other-weekend rotation Rotating holidays Consistent senior living environment Get to know the residents you're serving Work alongside an established dining and senior living team Build food service and customer service experience Training and opportunities for continued growth with Sunflower Communities You Don't Need Senior Living Experience Maybe you've worked in a restaurant, coffee shop, grocery store, cafeteria, fast-food restaurant, hotel, retail store, or another customer-facing position. Or maybe you're looking for one of your first jobs. We're less concerned with having the perfect resume and more interested in finding someone who shows up, treats people well, pays attention, and isn't afraid to help wherever needed . If you can provide good customer service and work as part of a team, we can help you learn the rest. What You'll Do As a Dietary Aide, you'll help our dining and culinary team by: Preparing and serving meals to residents Providing friendly and attentive dining service Setting up and resetting the dining room Getting to know resident preferences and dietary needs Clearing tables and assisting with dishes Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen and dining areas Following food safety and sanitation procedures Safely operating appropriate kitchen and food preparation equipment Communicating resident concerns to appropriate team members Helping wherever needed to keep meal service running smoothly The Little Things Get Remembered Here Remembering someone's drink. Greeting a resident by name. Noticing when someone who normally comes to every meal isn't there. Taking an extra moment to talk with someone who's having a difficult day. Helping make the dining room feel welcoming instead of simply getting through another meal service. None of those things require years of experience. They require someone who cares about doing the job well. Find a Part-Time Job Where People Notice You're There A Dietary Aide may not be the first position people think about when they imagine making a difference in senior living. But meals happen every day. And that means you'll have opportunities every day to make someone's experience a little better. If you're looking for a part-time position in Waconia where you can stay active, work with people, and become part of a community instead of serving a different crowd every shift , we'd like to meet you. Apply today and email Nikky Vogelgesang at nikky.vogelgesang@hhcare.net to introduce yourself and let us know you applied.
Pay:
$13.50 - $16.00 per hour Application Question(s): After applying, email Nikky Vogelgesang at nikky.vogelgesang@hhcare.net with a brief introduction. Tell us about your food service or customer service background, what you're looking for in your next position, and why working with older adults interests you. We enjoy hearing directly from candidates who are excited about joining our team.
