Job Description

Dining Assistant Schedule:
Part-time (may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays)
Shift:
PM Shift (must be willing to work outside regular schedule as needed) More Than a Job — Serving Care, One Meal at a Time At The Heritage, our Dining Assistants do more than serve meals—they help create a welcoming and safe dining experience that supports our residents' health, comfort, and overall well-being. This role provides hands-on support during mealtimes while assisting with dining room setup, cleanup, and maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary environment. If you're compassionate, patient, and enjoy connecting with older adults, this position allows you to make a meaningful difference every day. What You'll Do Assist residents during meals, providing support with dining as needed Serve beverages, food items, and condiments courteously and promptly Set up and maintain dining areas, including tables, linens, silverware, dishes, and supplies Clean and sanitize dining spaces, tables, chairs, equipment, and service areas Scrape, load, and wash dishes as needed; remove and dispose of trash and recyclables properly Follow all dietary, food handling, sanitation, and safety guidelines Support special events, celebrations, and holiday meals Observe residents and report any concerns or changes to the culinary or care team Uphold all facility policies, infection control procedures, and resident rights What You'll Need High school diploma or equivalent preferred Excellent customer service skills with a courteous, respectful, and helpful demeanor Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with older adults No prior experience required; training provided Ability to work as part of a team and independently Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, and emergencies Physical ability to perform duties, including standing, bending, lifting, and moving throughout the workday Why Team Members Choose The Heritage Get paid weekly and enjoy less stress between paychecks Competitive pay Annual wage increases Flexible scheduling Career Growth Employee recognition and rewards Supportive leadership, training and teamwork Make a Meaningful Impact — Apply Today Join a team dedicated to creating a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable dining experience for our residents.
