ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Correctly processes and merchandises all cuts of beef, pork, lamb, veal and poultry. Correctly processes and merchandises available varieties or seafood. Demonstrates proper ordering procedures. Established daily work assignments and priorities in the absence of the market manager. Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds. Receives and unloads truck deliveries using available equipment and according to established guidelines. Follows established guidelines for completion of all required forms, records, reports

SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS

Orders merchandise according to established guidelines. Stocks and straightens merchandise and supplies. Correctly prices all processed, fresh, and frozen meat merchandise, including use of scale and proper price changing procedures. Operates all required tools and equipment in a safe manner, (knives, saw, grinder, cuber, slicer, etc.). Properly trays and wraps all merchandise. Rotates merchandise as necessary according to product expiration dates. Performs basic housekeeping duties using available equipment, (mops, brooms, floor scrubbing machines, sanitizing equipment, etc.). Identifies acceptable temperature ranges for all meat cases and coolers. Ability to work in temperature extremes, (for all meat cases and coolers, maximum low temp -10 degrees). Standing for extended periods of time to perform job functions. Maintains a neat and clean work area. Performs all job functions at an advanced level or speed and accuracy. Performs all job functions with limited supervision. Ability to lift and move items weighing over 50 pounds Other duties as assigned
