Responsibilities Oversee daily front counter operations, including cashiering, customer service, and inventory management to ensure smooth store flow. Handle cash handling procedures, POS (Point of Sale) systems, pricing adjustments, and basic bookkeeping tasks with accuracy. Monitor inventory levels, perform stock checks, control shrinkage, and coordinate purchasing to maintain optimal stock levels. Implement operational procedures related to merchandising, stocking, and store cleanliness while ensuring compliance with safety standards. Facilitate effective communication within the team through managerial communication skills and organizational oversight of shift management. Skills General knowledge of various cuts of beef, lamb, pork & chicken. Proven experience in retail management with supervisory or assistant manager roles. Strong leadership abilities with excellent team management and training skills. Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, payroll processing, and basic math for financial transactions. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills including bilingual or multilingual capabilities are a plus. Experience in inventory control, purchasing, merchandising, and operational management within the retail or grocery industry. Demonstrated ability to handle customer service issues professionally while maintaining positive relationships.
