Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Meat Cutter and/or in a grocery store or similar environment.
• Ability to physically handle meat and machinery for a long period of time, work band saws and other meat cutting equipment.
• Excellent knowledge of meat preparation and cutting techniques.
• ServeSafe Food Handling Certification (preferred)
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work in a cold environment.

Role Responsibilities:

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure that all meat products are safe for consumption
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including meat preparation equipment and storage areas
• Cutting, grinding, trimming and preparing meat for sale
• Operating meat-cutting machinery
• Ensure all meat products are properly labeled, priced, and displayed
• Selling to and advising customers on meat products
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations
• Other duties as assigned

Job Type:

Full-time Pay:

$13.00 - $15.00 per hour
