The newly founded butcher shop provides high-end products and a first-class customer service experience. We offer locally sourced premium beef, pork, lamb, poultry, and seafood. To compliment the fresh meats, we also offer wine, cheese, charcuterie, produce, and a variety of non-perishable items to round out a meal or party. The Cut Butchery is building an environment built on respect: respect for the customer, respect for the products, and respect for your teammates. The Cut Butchery offers a variety of positions for those who are just starting their career, are looking to add a new skill set, or want to stay busy. Duties Create a customer-friendly environment and maintain a safe and positive environment for team members and each other. Engage and assist customers by making recommendations and answering questions about products in the shop. Cut, grind, and process fresh meat to company cutting standards. Weight, package, wrap, and label meat and seafood cuts to company packaging standards. Operate the Square (point of sale system) accurately for cash handling and transaction processing. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area and equipment following Health Department and restaurant standards. Unload products from the truck, break down pallets, take in deliveries, and separate products for the sales floor and cooler. Performs other duties as assigned. Experience Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively. Previous meat-cutting experience is a plus. Strong manual dexterity. Ability to operate safely the power equipment and sharp knives. Basic understanding of cooking. Knowledge of the FIFO (first in/first out) method. Actively practice food safety procedures. Physical stamina and strength; ability to lift large items to 50 pounds.
