Mashahweez Shawarma & Grill is a new Iraqi restaurant opening in Vienna, VA. We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented team member to prepare shawarma meat for daily service. This role focuses on thinly slicing beef and chicken, seasoning and marinating the meat, assembling shawarma cones, and ensuring every batch meets our quality standards. Previous experience preparing shawarma or operating commercial meat slicers is highly preferred. Responsibilities Thinly slice beef and chicken for shawarma using commercial meat slicers and knives. Trim, portion, season, and marinate meat according to our recipes. Assemble shawarma cones for the vertical broilers. Maintain consistent slice thickness and product quality. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP procedures. Properly label, store, and rotate inventory (FIFO). Clean and sanitize slicers, knives, and prep equipment. Assist with other kitchen prep tasks as needed. Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Qualifications Experience slicing meat for shawarma, gyro, or similar products is strongly preferred. Experience using commercial meat slicers and knives safely. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Reliable, punctual, and able to work early mornings or weekends when needed. Strong attention to detail and cleanliness. Team player with a positive attitude.
