Job Description

Arkansas Diamonds Professional Football Team Seasonal Position:
March 1 through September 1 The Arkansas Diamonds Professional Football Team is seeking a dependable, experienced Private Team Culinary & Nutrition Specialist to manage daily meal preparation and meal planning for our professional football team throughout the season. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys cooking for groups, understands nutrition and athletic performance, and is capable of independently planning, preparing, and organizing meals for a full football roster. Position Responsibilities The Private Team Culinary & Nutrition Specialist will be responsible for: Preparing fresh meals for players and team personnel on a daily basis Preparing meals in advance when needed to accommodate practices, games, travel, and team schedules Planning nutritious, balanced meals appropriate for professional athletes Understanding the importance of protein, carbohydrates, healthy fats, hydration, portion sizes, and recovery nutrition Creating meal plans that provide variety while supporting athletic performance and recovery Preparing food in quantities sufficient for a full professional football team Accommodating reasonable dietary restrictions, food allergies, and individual nutritional needs Coordinating grocery and food supply needs Maintaining appropriate food inventory and minimizing unnecessary food waste Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized food preparation area Properly storing, labeling, and rotating prepared foods and ingredients Communicating with team management regarding menus, food needs, scheduling, and special requests Preparing meals around changing practice, game, and travel schedules when necessary Qualifications The ideal candidate will: Have professional cooking, catering, meal preparation, private chef, food service, or similar experience Be comfortable preparing meals for large groups Have a strong understanding of nutrition and healthy meal preparation Have knowledge of sports nutrition or experience preparing meals for athletes preferred Be highly organized and capable of planning meals several days in advance Be dependable, punctual, professional, and able to work independently Be comfortable working in a fast paced professional sports environment Have strong food safety and sanitation practices Be able to adapt menus and schedules as team needs change throughout the season Culinary education, nutrition education, food safety certification, or previous experience working with athletes is preferred but not necessarily required for the right candidate. Schedule This is a seasonal position running approximately March 1 through September 1 . The schedule will be based on the Arkansas Diamonds' practice, game, travel, and team schedule. Flexibility will be required, particularly during training camp, game weeks, and other high demand periods. - Housing may be available depending on the selected candidate and circumstances. Housing is not guaranteed and will be discussed during the interview process. - Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, availability, and the final scope of responsibilities. About the Position This is more than a traditional food service position. The person selected will play an important role in keeping our athletes properly fueled throughout the season. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, understands the connection between nutrition and athletic performance, and can consistently provide quality meals for a professional football organization.
