This is a consistent, long-term position with predictable daytime hours Monday through Thursday. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys cooking excellent, fresh food and would like to become familiar with a family's tastes and preferences rather than working one-off events. Responsibilities Plan a weekly menu in coordination with the family Purchase fresh groceries and ingredients Prepare and serve a fresh, hot lunch Prep that evening's family dinner Leave dinner prepped for finishing and cooking, depending on the dish Prepare healthy sides, salads and vegetables Maintain appropriate kitchen staples Keep the kitchen exceptionally clean and organized Accommodate individual preferences and reasonable dietary requests Occasionally prepare additional food for children, guests or the following day Skills / Requirements Private or personal chef Executive chef or sous chef Chef at a high-end restaurant, resort or hotel Culinary-school-trained chef interested in transitioning into private household work The ideal person is dependable, discreet, personable, organized and comfortable working independently in a private home. Strong references and food-safety knowledge are important.

Pay:

$25.00 - $50.00 per hour Expected hours: 16.0 per week Application Question(s): Please provide a short introduction, resume or summary of culinary experience, examples of previous restaurants, hotels or private households, and a few examples of dishes or sample menus you enjoy preparing.
