About Us Rockaway Beach Brewery , a local restaurant and brewery located in Pacifica, CA, is looking for an experienced and dependable Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. We are looking for a hands-on kitchen leader who can work closely with our Chef and management team to ensure smooth kitchen operations, consistent food quality, and a positive team environment. Responsibilities Assist the Chef with daily kitchen operations and service Help lead and supervise kitchen staff during service Ensure food quality, consistency, portion sizes, and presentation Assist with daily food preparation and kitchen organization Help manage inventory, ordering, and receiving Train and support kitchen team members Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen Help manage kitchen workflow during busy services Step in and provide kitchen leadership when needed Communicate effectively with management and front-of-house staff Help control food waste and maintain food-cost standards Follow all health, safety, and sanitation requirements Qualifications Previous experience as a Sous Chef, Kitchen Lead, Kitchen Supervisor, or similar leadership role Restaurant kitchen experience Strong knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations Ability to lead and motivate a kitchen team Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to remain calm and productive in a fast-paced environment Reliable, professional, and hands-on Food Handler certification preferred What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, team-oriented, and willing to take initiative .
