Cotton Hollow Kitchen is growing, and we're looking to add an experienced, passionate, and driven Sous Chef to our culinary leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for a culinary professional who is ready to take on a key leadership role in kitchen operations while helping shape the next stage of our restaurant's growth. We're looking for someone who is creative, organized, hands-on, and committed to delivering an exceptional dining experience. Our ideal candidate is a strong leader who can inspire a team, support daily kitchen operations, maintain high culinary standards, and contribute to the continued evolution of our menu and kitchen culture. Responsibilities Assist in overseeing daily kitchen operations Lead, mentor, train, and develop kitchen staff Support the creation and execution of seasonal menus and specials Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation, and execution Assist in managing food and labor costs to meet financial goals Monitor inventory, ordering, and product levels Ensure compliance with all health, sanitation, and food safety regulations Assist with developing recipes, portion standards, and kitchen procedures Collaborate with culinary leadership and management on menu development and restaurant growth Maintain an organized, efficient, and positive kitchen environment Assist with scheduling and staffing needs Lead kitchen operations and service when acting as the chef on duty Ensure all dishes meet Cotton Hollow Kitchen's standards for quality and consistency Qualifications Previous experience as a Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, Lead Line Cook, or similar kitchen leadership position Strong leadership and team-building skills Experience with food and labor cost management Knowledge of inventory management and purchasing Excellent organizational and time-management skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices Creative and innovative approach to food and menu development Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Preferred Qualifications Fine dining or upscale casual restaurant experience Ability to speak and understand Spanish Experience developing seasonal menus Experience with catering and private events ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety certification What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Performance-based incentives Paid time off Opportunities for professional growth and advancement Creative input in menu development A collaborative and supportive work environment The opportunity to help shape the future of a growing restaurant group If you're an experienced culinary professional looking to take the next step in your leadership career and make a meaningful impact, we'd love to hear from you.
