7 days/week 6am-3pm Derek's Cafe is looking for an experienced, dependable Chef / Cook to join our kitchen team. We are a busy neighborhood breakfast and lunch restaurant serving made-to-order breakfast, lunch, and daily specials. We need someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen and can consistently prepare quality food. Responsibilities Prepare breakfast and lunch dishes to order Cook eggs, omelets, pancakes, breakfast meats, burgers, sandwiches, and other menu items Prepare daily lunch specials and Southern-style dishes Handle food prep and maintain proper portions Maintain consistent food quality and presentation Keep the kitchen and cooking stations clean and organized Follow food safety and sanitation procedures Work efficiently with the rest of the kitchen and service team Help manage prep and minimize food waste What We're Looking For Previous restaurant cooking experience required Strong breakfast cooking experience preferred Comfortable working the grill, flat-top, and fryer Able to handle multiple orders during busy periods Reliable and punctual Able to work independently and as part of a team Weekend availability preferred

Schedule:

Daytime shifts, approximately 6:00 AM-3:00 PMNo late nights
