We are seeking a talented, energetic Sous Chef to provide vital managerial and culinary assistance to our Executive Chef and Co-Sous Chefs. What You'll Do (Duties & Responsibilities)
Lead & Mentor:
Actively coach, mentor, and delegate tasks to kitchen staff to maintain our high standards of quality and culture.
Culinary Creativity:
Assist in the preparation, design, and execution of all food menus and features, producing creative plates in both design and taste.
Kitchen Operations:
Ensure all kitchen staff operate in a timely, efficient manner. Step in for the Executive Chef to plan and direct food preparation when necessary.
Problem Solve:
Resourcefully solve issues as they arise and maintain complete control of problematic situations.
Performance & Inventory:
Assess staff performance, provide constructive coaching, and assist with accurate kitchen inventory management.
Safety & Professionalism:
Comply with and enforce all sanitation regulations and safety standards while maintaining a positive, professional approach with coworkers and members. What We Are Looking For (Qualifications) 2+ years of experience as a Sous Chef.
Deep culinary knowledge:
Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
Leadership skills:
An excellent track record of kitchen and staff management with the ability to delegate quickly and effectively.
Composure under pressure:
Speed and accuracy in handling emergency situations and providing swift solutions.
Industry expertise:
Thorough familiarity with the culinary industry's best practices.
Education:
