We are seeking a talented and creative Chef & Content Creator to join our team on a contract, as-needed basis to support video productions, photography, recipe development, and social media content. This role blends culinary creativity with on-camera personality and digital content creation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating, cooking and styling dishes to perfection, ensuring they are visually appealing and in line with our clients' brand aesthetics.

Job Type:

• Contract (Hours as Needed)
• Contract position; hours scheduled as needed based on project workload. Hourly rate based on experience.
• Local candidates only (Greater Detroit Area).

Work to be completed on-site at Vimax Media, this is not a WFH opportunity.

Primary Functions:

• Create engaging short-form and long-form food content for social media and digital marketing campaigns.
• Collaborate with creative teams to develop content ideas, recipes, and on-camera demonstrations.
• Develop food styling concepts based on client briefs and brand guidelines.
• Prepare, cook, and style dishes for video and photoshoots, ensuring high quality.
• Confidently present on camera as needed to represent client brands; personality and nice hands are a must!
• Style food and props on set for visually compelling compositions.
• Collaborate with photographers, videographers, and account teams to execute client creative visions.
• Source ingredients for video shoots, photography, and recipe testing.
• Develop and test trend-driven recipes ensuring accuracy and compliance with client and nutritional specifications. Successful candidates will have the following attributes:
• 2-year culinary degree or equivalent ACF Certification preferred, but not required
• 3-5 years culinary experience
• Experience creating social media and video content
• Familiarity with food photography and videography techniques is a plus
• Strong culinary skills and knowledge
• Creativity and a passion for food with up-to-date knowledge of food trends
• Ability to develop recipes that meet strict nutritional standards
• Proficiency in authoring and editing accurate and concise recipes per guidelines
• Self-starter with excellent communication skills and organizational skills with extreme attention to detail
• Reliable and professional
• Comfortable appearing on camera as needed to represent client brands and demonstrate culinary concepts

Pay:

$27.00 - $30.00 per hour
