In this pivotal role, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. Your leadership will inspire the kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences, whether in fine dining settings or catering events. Responsibilities Support the Executive Chef in managing all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, service, and sanitation procedures. Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated team focused on excellence. Oversee food safety protocols and sanitizing procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations. Assist with menu planning, recipe development, and food presentation standards for both regular service and special events such as banquets and catering. Manage inventory control, monitor stock levels, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of ingredients. Ensure consistent quality in food production while maintaining cost control measures across all kitchen activities. Lead shift management duties, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and resolving any operational issues promptly. Requirements Proven experience in fine dining environments with strong culinary skills and a passion for high-quality food presentation. Demonstrated supervising experience within a busy kitchen setting, including managing teams as a chef or sous chef. Extensive knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures, dietary department standards, and food handling best practices. Background in banquet experience, catering events, and restaurant management is highly desirable. Skilled in inventory management, cost control strategies, and food service management techniques. Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment.
