Seasonal Lodge Chef / Head Cook - Whitetail Hunting Operation We are seeking an experienced and dependable Seasonal Lodge Chef / Head Cook to join our whitetail hunting operation for the 2026 hunting season. This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys cooking hearty, high-quality meals and working in a relaxed lodge environment. The position runs approximately September 25 through January 5, with an estimated 8-10 weeks of work, Sunday through Friday. Guest groups typically range from 15-25 clients per week, with some weeks varying in size. The primary responsibility is preparing and serving a hearty dinner each evening for our hunting guests. Grab-and-go breakfast items and food for packed lunches will be provided, so the focus of this position is creating delicious, satisfying dinners for our guests after a day of hunting. Our lodge is fully equipped with a kitchen, smokers, and grills. The chef will be responsible for menu planning, food preparation, cooking, serving, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and dining area. Lodging can be provided for the right candidate. We are looking for someone who is experienced, organized, reliable, comfortable cooking for groups, and able to work independently. A passion for cooking, grilling, smoking, and hearty lodge-style meals is a major plus. Pay is negotiable based on experience.
