Puppy Sales Counselor The Puppy Palace | Glastonbury, CT Are you passionate about puppies, people, and providing exceptional customer experiences? The Puppy Palace is a premier puppy boutique dedicated to helping families find their perfect new companion. We are looking for an enthusiastic, dependable, and customer-focused Puppy Sales Counselor to join our team. This position combines sales, customer service, animal care, and facility maintenance. The ideal candidate is energetic, compassionate, enjoys working with people and animals, and thrives in a fast-paced retail environment. Responsibilities Customer Service & Sales Greet customers and create a welcoming, positive shopping experience. Educate families about available puppies, breed characteristics, temperament, health records, and care requirements. Guide customers through the puppy selection and purchase process. Present available financing options, wellness programs, and pet care products. Follow up with prospective customers regarding inquiries and puppy availability. Build strong customer relationships and provide exceptional service before, during, and after the sale. Answer incoming calls and respond to customer inquiries professionally. Maintain a strong knowledge of puppies, pet care products, nutrition, and accessories. Puppy Care & Facility Maintenance Feed, monitor, and care for puppies according to company standards. Clean and sanitize puppy suites, enclosures, play areas, and equipment. Maintain a safe, secure, healthy, and humane environment for all animals. Follow all company protocols and comply with applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Help ensure the store is clean, organized, and presentation-ready at all times. Qualifications Previous retail sales experience preferred. Pet industry experience preferred. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Positive attitude and professional demeanor. Dependable with strong attendance and punctuality. Comfortable handling and caring for puppies. Ability to work weekends and flexible schedules as needed. Must love puppies and be passionate about animal welfare.
