Job Description

The ALF Concierge serves as a welcoming and professional first point of contact for residents, families, guests, and team members. This position provides exceptional customer service while assisting with administrative duties, resident requests, communication, scheduling, and the daily operations of the community. The Concierge helps create a warm, safe, organized, and resident-focused environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Greet residents, families, visitors, and vendors in a friendly and professional manner. Answer and direct incoming phone calls and messages appropriately. Monitor and manage the front desk and lobby area. Assist residents and families with general questions, requests, and concerns. Provide information regarding community activities, dining, transportation, services, and daily schedules. Assist residents with arranging transportation and other approved services. Maintain visitor sign-in/sign-out procedures and follow community security protocols. Monitor and manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages. Receive deliveries and ensure items are distributed appropriately. Assist with maintaining accurate front-desk logs and records. Communicate resident requests and concerns to the appropriate department or manager. Assist with scheduling appointments, transportation, and other resident services as directed. Support the Activities Department with calendars, announcements, and resident participation as needed. Assist with special events, family events, and community functions. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and lobby area. Protect resident privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times. Follow all community policies, procedures, emergency protocols, and applicable AHCA requirements. Report safety concerns, incidents, suspicious activity, or resident concerns immediately to management. Assist with emergency procedures and follow instructions from management and emergency personnel. Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and guests while maintaining professional boundaries. Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or Administrator. Resident Services The Concierge should maintain a strong resident-centered approach and: Treat every resident with dignity, respect, patience, and kindness. Respond promptly to resident requests or ensure the request is communicated to the appropriate team member. Be familiar with residents' names and basic community routines. Help residents feel welcomed, heard, and supported. Escalate concerns involving resident care, safety, behavior, or medical needs to the appropriate department immediately. Never perform duties outside the scope of the position or provide hands-on care unless properly trained, authorized, and permitted by facility policy and applicable regulations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in assisted living, senior living, hospitality, healthcare, customer service, or an administrative role preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer-service and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain professional and calm in stressful situations. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Basic computer skills and ability to learn community software systems. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately. Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently. Must successfully complete required background screening and any applicable facility requirements. Physical Requirements Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods. Ability to walk throughout the community as needed. Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff. Ability to perform routine office and front-desk duties. Must be able to respond appropriately during emergency situations. Work Environment The ALF Concierge works primarily at the community front desk and throughout common areas of the assisted living community. The position involves frequent interaction with residents, families, visitors, vendors, and employees and requires a professional, compassionate, and service-oriented demeanor at all times.
