Job Description

The Shelter Support Assistant ensures the safety and security of the Martin's House & Barn facility, parking lot, and guests (residents). Flexibility and dependability are crucial for this position. Call-out pay differential provided for short notice . The Shelter Support Assisatnt serves as the in-charge staff person during the Monday, 4pm-8pm shift. Other shifts may also be available. The position may also cover for vacations, holidays (1.5 time), and on-call, as available. Duties include, but not limited to: Ensure the safety of the facility and our residents. Conduct rounds to ensure all doors and windows are secured. Admit residents into the facility. Answer the telephones. Record daily shift notes by email at the end of each shift. Ensure that both positive situations and concerns are included. Monitor guest/residents entering and exiting the House. Maintain professional boundaries when interacting with guests/residents. Ensure the facility is clean and organizaed.

NOTE:

A background check and fingerprinting are required.
