Job Description

Pumps & Pirouettes | Manchester, NHPart-Time | Approximately 8-16 Hours Per WeekPrimarily Evenings, Approximately 5:00-9:00 PM Pumps & Pirouettes is looking for an organized, dependable, and people-oriented Operations & Administrative Support team member to join our studio. We are a studio designed for adults, offering everything from drop-in classes and workshops to performance programs, specialty events, and community experiences. Behind all of that programming are a lot of moving pieces—and we're looking for someone who can help us keep those pieces organized, followed up on, and moving forward. This is a small, hands-on position with two important sides: administrative and management support + in-studio support. What You'll OwnAdministrative & Management Support Assist management with ongoing administrative tasks and day-to-day studio operations Monitor and maintain studio email inboxes Respond to routine student, instructor, and community inquiries using established studio communication standards Identify and flag communications that require management attention Review submitted forms and documentation for completeness Follow up on missing forms, information, signatures, registrations, and other outstanding items Help maintain organized digital records, forms, files, and internal documentation Assist with instructor and team onboarding documentation Support scheduling and calendar administration Maintain internal trackers, lists, and administrative systems Conduct student, instructor, applicant, and community outreach as assigned Assist management with follow-up communication and ongoing projects Prepare information and documentation for management review Help maintain established studio procedures and administrative processes Identify outstanding tasks and help ensure they are followed through to completion We aren't looking for someone who simply checks a task off because an email was sent. We're looking for someone who closes the loop —someone who notices when a response hasn't come in, follows up appropriately, keeps track of what's still outstanding, and communicates when something needs management attention. Studio Operations Help prepare the studio for evening programming Support opening and closing procedures when assigned Monitor class rosters and assist with student check-in Support Vagaro registrations and basic account questions Assist with heels rentals and other front-desk processes Help instructors with basic operational needs during their classes Maintain an organized and welcoming front desk and common area Monitor basic studio supplies and communicate when something needs attention Follow established opening, closing, front-desk, and operational checklists Identify facility, scheduling, student, or operational concerns and escalate them appropriately Help ensure the studio is ready for the people walking through the door In-Studio Support This is not a remote administrative position. Regular in-studio evening availability is a required part of the role. While scheduled in the studio, you'll be one of the first people our students see and an important part of how they experience Pumps & Pirouettes.
This includes:
Welcoming and checking in students Greeting first-time students and giving them a full studio introduction Showing new students around the space and explaining how everything works Helping someone figure out where to go, what to expect, and what they may need for class Introducing new students to their instructor when appropriate Answering basic questions about classes, workshops, memberships, events, rentals, and studio offerings Helping students navigate registration or front-desk needs Supporting instructors as needed Helping maintain a welcoming, organized, and comfortable studio environment We know walking into a new studio—especially as an adult—can be intimidating. We want the person at our front desk to recognize that. A new student shouldn't just be pointed toward a studio room. They should leave their first interaction feeling like someone was expecting them, someone knows their name, and they understand how the space works. Who We're Looking For You may be a great fit if you are: Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented Dependable and able to commit to scheduled evening coverage Warm, approachable, and comfortable interacting with new people A strong written and verbal communicator Comfortable handling email and professional correspondence Able to manage several small responsibilities without losing track of them Someone who naturally follows up and closes loops Comfortable following established procedures and checklists Able to take initiative without overstepping authority Comfortable handling information with professionalism and discretion Able to recognize what you can handle independently and what needs to be escalated to management Comfortable learning new systems and technology Able to work independently without needing constant supervision Calm and solution-oriented when several things are happening at once Experience with Google Workspace, Vagaro, Slack, spreadsheets, scheduling platforms, email management, customer service, hospitality, front-desk work, or administrative support is helpful, but we're also interested in the right person with excellent judgment, reliability, and a willingness to learn. Schedule Approximately 8-16 hours per week , depending on availability and studio needs. Most regular hours will fall between approximately 5:00-9:00 PM on weekday evenings , with occasional opportunities for additional hours depending on studio programming and administrative needs. Because this position helps provide physical studio coverage, consistent in-person evening availability in Manchester, NH is required.

$15.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 - 16.0 per week
