Beauty School Admissions & Operations Manager Long Island Skin, Lash & Brow Academy Centereach, NY Part-Time | Approximately 30 hours per week | In Person Starting pay: $26 per hour Long Island Skin, Lash & Brow Academy is seeking a polished, highly organized, tech-savvy professional to join our team as an Admissions & Operations Manager. This is a unique position combining admissions, customer service, school operations, administration, and staff/student support. One of the most important parts of this position is working with prospective students. We are looking for someone who is personable, confident, professional, and naturally good at connecting with people. You will conduct school tours, explain our programs, answer questions, follow up with prospective students, and help guide them through the enrollment process. You will also play an important role in the daily operation of the school, helping ensure students, instructors, administrative responsibilities, and day-to-day situations are handled professionally and efficiently. This is not a basic receptionist position. We are looking for someone who can grow into a trusted management role and become an important part of keeping the school organized and running smoothly. What You'll Do Admissions & Tours Conduct professional and engaging school tours Build rapport with prospective students and confidently explain our programs Answer program, schedule, tuition, and enrollment questions Follow up with leads by phone, text, and email Assist prospective students throughout the enrollment process Maintain organized follow-up with prospective students Help convert qualified inquiries and tours into enrollments Daily School Operations Help oversee the day-to-day operation of the school Answer incoming calls, texts, emails, and student inquiries Serve as a primary point of contact for routine staff and student matters Handle routine student concerns and conversations professionally Assist with student disciplinary conversations and documentation when necessary Assist instructors when they need guidance, support, or redirection Follow up with staff regarding assigned responsibilities Help maintain a professional, organized, productive school environment Recognize which situations can be handled independently and which genuinely require escalation to ownership Administration & Compliance Maintain organized student and administrative records Assist with attendance, student documentation, deadlines, and school procedures Learn our school catalog, policies, and procedures Learn applicable New York State BPSS requirements and help ensure procedures are followed correctly Maintain confidentiality when handling student, employee, financial, or management information Keep track of multiple responsibilities without allowing tasks or deadlines to fall through the cracks Technology & Systems Strong technology skills are very important for this position.
You should be comfortable:
Working on both Mac and Windows computers Troubleshooting everyday computer, printer, login, and software issues Learning new software quickly Working with cloud-based programs and digital records Using Google Workspace Using or learning Canva Working with CRM, scheduling, student-management, and communication platforms Experience with Google Ads, digital marketing, Canva, QuickBooks, CRM systems, or similar business software is a plus. We do not expect you to know every system we use on your first day. We do expect you to be resourceful, comfortable with technology, and willing to figure things out. Beauty Industry Experience Knowledge of the beauty industry is strongly preferred. Experience in a beauty school, salon, spa, cosmetology school, esthetics school, or similar environment is a major plus. A current New York State Cosmetology, Esthetics, or Nail Specialty license is preferred but not required for the right candidate. 9:30 AM-6:30 PM Approximately 30 paid hours per week. Applicants should be able to reliably work the schedule listed above.
Compensation Starting pay:
$26 per hour. This position begins at $26 per hour during training. We believe in rewarding employees as they grow within their role. Compensation may increase incrementally as training milestones are reached and the employee demonstrates increased independence, performance, knowledge, and responsibility. Pay increases are based on demonstrated performance and responsibilities rather than a predetermined length of employment. Training Previous knowledge of New York State BPSS regulations is not required. We will train the right candidate on our school's policies, procedures, systems, programs, and compliance requirements. What is important is the ability to learn quickly, retain information, follow detailed procedures, stay organized, and apply what you have learned independently.
