50 per hour, depending on experience Position Summary At Asante, the Three Rivers Medical Center Family House in Grants Pass offers affordable, temporary lodging for children and adults who are patients of Asante Three Rivers Medical Center or nearby Asante facilities and their families. Designed for patients and families who live outside the Grants Pass area, lodging is provided based on availability. The Family House is located within easy walking distance of Asante Three Rivers. The 7,400-square-foot facility provides a framework for mutual support while affording the privacy guests require. This includes seven guest rooms with private bathrooms, with one room including ADA accommodations; a common living room dining area; a large, shared kitchen and a fully equipped laundry room. The Guest Housing Representativ e oversees the guest housing facilities during scheduled shifts and shares responsibility for the safety and operation of the facility. Performs a variety of duties related to providing support for guests and their families, including administrative/clerical tasks, housekeeping, and customer service. The Guest Housing Representative maintains a clean, caring, and supportive environment for guests, volunteers, and other staff members. Along with other guest housing staff, the Guest Housing Representative is accountable for stewardship of our mission to provide comfort, care, and support to children and families while they are receiving treatment at Asante. What You'll Do Present guests with an effective orientation to enhance the quality of their stay. This includes clearly communicating the rules and receiving verbal and signed confirmation that the guest will abide by the rules; identifying the special needs of guests and assisting or directing to the appropriate provider when possible; guiding guests through a tour of the house; and entering guest information in the Raiser's Edge database on the computer. Provide guest support to ensure customer satisfaction. This includes greeting guests to make them feel at home; spending time visiting with guests in the common area; and having the ability to accept interrupted sleep time in a courteous, professional manner. Ensure compliance with Family House rules in a supportive way. This includes maintaining the confidentiality of guests and patient situations. Ensure the safety of all guests and staff of the Family House. This includes using Universal Precautions where applicable and completing routine checks of the house to ensure that hazards are not present. Ensure the Family House housekeeping presentation is of the highest quality. This includes maintaining cleanliness and thorough sanitization of the guest rooms and common areas; reporting maintenance issues in a timely manner; and encouraging guests to participate in communal household chores. Qualifications Previous customer service experience, preferably in a hospitality or health care setting, is required. Must demonstrate good customer service skills, a positive attitude, and pleasant demeanor. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning to use hospitality databases. Must be organized and possess the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to effectively communicate as required for the position is required Associate Degree in business or healthcare-related field, preferred.
