Job Description
Hey — quick question: Are you the person at a party who makes sure nobody's standing alone in the corner? Because that's exactly the kind of person we're looking for. I'm Dr. Glenn Krieger, orthodontist, and we are looking for one very specific person to be the first face our patients see when they walk through the door. Not just someone to answer phones and check people in. Someone who sets the tone for the entire experience. Someone who makes a nervous kid feel at ease and a busy mom feel taken care of — all before they sit down. This is our Front Desk Concierge role. And if you've ever been told you should work with people for a living, this might be exactly what you've been looking for. Before the details, here's the surprising part: You do NOT need dental or orthodontic experience. We will train the right person completely. What we cannot train is warmth. We cannot train the ability to make someone feel genuinely welcomed. We cannot train a smile that reaches your eyes. If you have that, we want to meet you. What this job actually feels like You won't be invisible behind a glass window sliding panels open and closed. You'll be present. You'll know your patients by name. You'll be the friendly voice they hear on the phone and the warm face they see when they walk in. You'll be the reason people say this place just feels different. In orthodontics, every patient is on a journey — sometimes a long one. You become part of that journey. You watch people grow in confidence over months of treatment. And you're one of the reasons they keep showing up with a smile. What you'll do Greet patients and families and make them feel genuinely welcome Answer phones and manage scheduling with care and efficiency Collect payments and handle insurance with accuracy Communicate clearly and warmly in person, by phone, and digitally Keep the front of house running smoothly so the clinical team can focus on patients Solve small problems before they become big ones Be the calm, happy energy that the whole practice feeds off of Who thrives here People who genuinely love people Those who are warm, upbeat, and positive — naturally, not performatively Fast learners who take pride in doing things right Great communicators who listen as well as they talk Those who stay organized and calm when things get busy People who take ownership and don't wait to be told twice Someone who leaves every patient feeling like they were the most important person in the room Experience Experience in a front desk, customer service, hospitality, or patient-facing role is a plus. Dental or orthodontic experience is great but doesn't give you an advantage. If you're smart, warm, and reliable, we will teach you everything else. What you get Starting pay of $18-$19 per hour based on experience, Health benefits, Paid time off and holidays. Retirement plan, Free and discounted orthodontic treatment for family .A team that actually enjoys coming to work. Doctors who leads by example and take care of our people One more thing. If you're looking for somewhere to clock in, put your head down, and clock out, this isn't your place. If you want to be somewhere that feels good to work, where your personality is an asset, where patients remember your name and ask for you specifically — apply. Even if you're not sure. Especially if you're not sure. Come meet us. That's usually what convinces people. Now, when you reply to this ad, please simply give me one sentence about one time when you dealt with an unreasonable or unhappy person but turned it into a great situation. Without that sentence, I'm so sorry, but we won't be able to consider you. And it's not just about the answer to that question. It's the fact that it means you took a moment to actually follow what was asked. Can't wait to hear from you, and wishing you good luck!
