Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards Assist in menu planning by providing input on dish presentation and ingredient selection Handle food safely by following proper food handling and sanitation procedures Support food preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, and assembling dishes Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including knives and cooking tools Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours Assist with catering events and special meal preparations as needed Qualifications Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is preferred but not required Proven kitchen experience in restaurants or food industry settings is highly desirable Strong food safety knowledge and adherence to health regulations Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of food handling, cooking methods, and food service standards Experience with menu planning, food presentation, and catering is a plus Embark on a culinary journey with us where your skills will grow, your creativity will flourish, and your contributions will make a real difference!
