MEAL PREP COOK - MONDAY-THURSDAY

$16/Hour | Part-Time | No Nights or Weekends Katie's Plates is a growing local meal-delivery company looking for a dependable, hardworking meal prep cook to join our kitchen team in Irondale. Our team prepares hundreds of fresh meals each week. This is a hands-on kitchen position involving ingredient preparation, cooking, portioning, packaging, and cleaning. Delivery driving is not required.

SCHEDULE

Part-time, Monday through Thursday Early mornings through the afternoon No nights or weekends Start and finish times may vary slightly depending on weekly order volume (start time varies from 5 AM to 8 AM, and will be done around 1:30-3 PM each day) PAY Starting at $16 per hour Opportunities for raises as experience, skills, speed, and responsibilities increase Overtime may occasionally be available

RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare ingredients by chopping, measuring, mixing, and portioning Follow recipes and production instructions accurately Assist with cooking and assembling meals Portion, package, label, and organize customer orders Check meals and orders carefully for accuracy Follow food-safety and sanitation procedures Keep workstations, equipment, and shared areas clean Help with other kitchen-production tasks as needed Work efficiently alongside the rest of the team

REQUIREMENTS

Consistent Monday-Thursday availability Reliable transportation to our Irondale kitchen Ability to safely lift and carry up to 40 pounds Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive kitchen tasks Food-service or commercial-kitchen experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person
